NO, SONY. NO

So, word has it that Sony expects Killzone 2 to do, at the least if not more than, Metal Gear Solid 4 numbers.

Never. Ever.

And here's why:

1. Killzone sucks.

2. Can't embed this video, but here's what they promised in 2005

And this is what they're purporting will be delivered this Feb.

Sony shot themselves in the foot a few years ago with that first trailer. Even with more than 3 years of development, Guerrilla can't match that 2005 E3 vision.

3. Killzone sucks.

4. MGS4 has a much bigger fanbase than Killzone.

5. Killzone sucks.

6. There's a benchmark of quality production that MGS titles maintain, which few developers can come close to.

7. People bought MGS4 for either a good game, nostalgia, and/or closure.

8. People will not buy Killzone 2 because it is not a good game--it sucks.

9. Killzone is competing against the following first-person shooters: Halo, Call of Duty, Bioshock, Battlefield, FarCry, Half Life, Team Fortress, Left4Dead, Rainbow Six, and Unreal Tournament to name a few. That market is already saturated. Godspeed, Guerrilla Games.

10. MGS4 sold at least 4.5 million worldwide. Markets outside of North America are seldom as interested in the genre.

11. Killzone sucks.

I'm done.

  1. *ahem, i do believe it's MGS and not MSG.

...unless you're talking about that "flavor enhancer," which i hope you aren't

...even if you are infatuated with it
